A press pool reporter at the event shared this image of dinner menu, which included: 'Mr Trump's Wedgie Salad'.

One of the guests shared a picture when they arrived of the massive red shag carpet, which stretched out for what looked like at least 50 yards.

Another snap taken inside the lavish soiree shows the wedgie salad named after Donald Trump that was served to guests.

Fabio was among the guests for the party, and even took time out to pose with two other attendees.

• The president-elect stopped to speak to the waiting press pool before heading inside for the celebrations
• He said it is 'unfair' what Russia is being accused of, before claiming to 'know things that other people don't'
• Trump then said he plans to reveal that information about the hacking on Tuesday or Wednesday next week 
• Trump appeared very animated as he spoke to reporters, as his wife Melania watched on from his side 
• Earlier, it was revealed one of the items on the menu for those attending was a: 'Mr Trump Wedgie Salad'
