DFMI sued Simpson in 2001/2002, that's why he left DFMI. Simpson sold TRUDEF to TMM in the late 90's and did it again and again as years progressed. He was working for a totally different company prior to forming DFI then DFMI. TMM received great benefit from the DFMI shareholders. Simpson gave a lot of their funds on the sale of TMM shares to TMM so they could pay their bills and retrofit Fernandez's boat.

Of course TMM contributed greatly with their instigating the famous P & D in 2000.
