I don't know the answer to that, but I get it that clearing houses and big houses have all sorts of ways of doing things that can & does affect the way this number (shareholders) is reported. I only meant to make the point that 1) there are 313 "Shareholders of record" currently, but many more were listed previously (the last times I checked, awhile back, I seem to remember number of roughly 1250 & earlier than that, 1500 or so. To me that seemed to indicate (the 313) a much lower number of Shareholders, regardless of the apparent relativity these number represent. It would also go along w/my thinking that as this thing has dragged on for so long, way longer than most or anyone here ever seemed to think or believe, along w/the general longer term trend of lower prices, that THAT would more than likely result in more ppl jumping ship than getting on board. That was my basic point. Also, and I'm just asking...(as I don't know much about these aspects) but don't you go by the float when thinking in terms of how many active shareholders? and isn't that number much lower? Also, so how then (CEDE, etc), can anyone know how many shareholders there are? Now, it sounds like no way to ascertain. Again, my only intended point was it looking like more getting out than in.
