ownership filings are a bit complicated due to acorn composite linking to roche, who is a subset of acorn, so that's why you see some duplicate entries in the filings.
back in january, 2016 RVUE did a deal with roche where they issued stock in an initial "take out purchase" to pay off their debt:
so roche is in it for around $1.3M just on the basis of this 2016 deal.
then add to that whatever stock he bought in the preceding years, some of which i linked at the top of this post, and the 18M shares owned by his family - i think ivue holdings bought around .04/share (don't know for sure), so that's a decent investment which is now way underwater.
all told, this is much more than $720K, more than the $1.3M...
and it's not just roche, go back before the recent roche financing deals, and here's CEO mark pacchini buying at .06, .07, nice big blocks:
