Joel made 200 posts here on Ihub, posing as a "friend of Joel's". He also alternated between threatening folks and trying to bribe folks in personal messages behind the scenes.

That kind of stuff is in direct violation of SEC rules regarding anonymous posting by management of publicly traded companies. I believe it falls into the category of stock manipulation.
