In addition, the idea that 97% of media message is controlled by 6 corps sort of ignores the fact that the internet, essentially devoid of fact checking, particularly twitter and facebook, is a primary information source now, and the wild west of fact-free campaigning via internet clearly usurped conventional information sources. So he can believe all he wants about MSM conspiracies, as the people have largely moved on from them for much of their information, (certainly more than 3% use the internet as their primary sources) but since he never watches them, how would he know? Clairvoyance? Ignorance of what is actually happening makes clinging to old ideas much easier for smug conspiracy freaks.
There are still people that believe Breitbart is a credible source, for example, which certainly departs farther from the truth than network news. Including the president-elect who has bought into that crap hook, line, and sinker.
