as of now we don't compare to dictator democracies partly because we are a Representative Republic not a simple democracy and there is a separation of powers, check and balance, and Obama had all three in his first term, no silly complaints from anyone about tyranny then. That trifecta did not hold and Trump's most likely will not hold but it may and if it does that is the way it goes.
The road to tyranny comes with crap like executive orders that circumvent the legislative process. Sure were some complaints about that.
