My assumption is that the FAA and industry (regulatory, insurance, etc) are still not clear on what inprocess quality assurance is acceptable (reference the nasa presentation posted here a few days ago), therefore GE keeps using Printrite to test its capabilities, strengths and weaknesses, while at the same time they churn out 3d printed parts using 'old methods' to pass inspection....again....my assumption.
