IMO ... First it is an implication... for PR sake.. remove the " " word and you imply owning...
Here is one that implies that they purchased it:
"The 40-foot-long tour bus, which "would" cost at least a half million dollars, was wrapped by Signs Fast in an eye-catching, full-color, digital graphic design." Not factual purposely. You are left to your imagination on this one.

And truck/vehicle advertising graphics houses use 'tape', a plastic/polymer sheeting thats imprinted with the photos or text logo's etc on large plotter type photo printers, then the agency just rolls the stuff on. It will be peeled off later.
Very few large ads are painted these days.... I drove a 35 foot straight bed rental with total graphic box coverage with sheeting. Took the guys 1 hour to mount. Very cool.
