SilverSurfer -- I was and remain correct -- "populous" means just that -- back then, unlike now, even in the more populous states not that many lived in any larger urban areas; most lived in rural/small town areas -- and the concept also had absolutely nothing to do with who did or didn't "represent the bigger nation"
