Drug prices will likely remain a hot political issue for some time (because something really must be done), but the short-term consequences of the political machinations for drug/biotechs investors are apt to be small, IMO.

Some investors don't realize that Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D plans already negotiate drug prices with vendors—only Medicare Part B drugs used by patients enrolled in traditional government Medicare are immune from price negotiation under current law.
