As far as the "they're gonna take our guns" rant ... was the author wearing a foil hat when he wrote that stuff ? Seriously looney.

Have you seen what gun sales have been for the last 8 years ? If there's an exact opposite of confiscation, we've just experienced it.

Maybe the author owns Smith and Wesson (SWHC) stock or RGR. And he's wants to make some quick cash selling it.
