What does this mean?

For simplicity, let me simplify it as:

BM corrosponds to stat sig improvement in OS for patients treated with B vs B+D.

Ok, for starters B was not stat sig vs B+D in the trial. That much is obvious. So what was stat sig?

The worst possibility is simply:

(BM corrosponds to stat sig improvement in OS) for (patients in SUNRISE).

This would mean virtually nothing alone. Even if one is comfortable that the biomarker is related to Bavi activity, you could not know if it is simply a reaction of a better immune system to Bavi.

The best possibility would be that they are sloppy and mean that

In BP+ patients, B+P is stat sig vs P

Kind of funny that CP disses this possibility, as it really the best possibilbe interpretation.

The third possibility is that they mean something along the lines of:

(BP+ improvement with B+P over P) was stat sig vs (BP- improvement with B+P vs P)

Kind of a middle of the road option.

If they truely had something modestly imressive, why not make it clear vs leave open the options that are "meh"?
