What I have not heard on this Board is this. Can GE negotiate directly with large share holders and offer them above current market prices for their shares for the purpose of getting to the 90% essentially bypassing the hold-outs...yours truly.

I assume GE can purchase shares at prices greater than their offer price .... for the purpose of getting to 90%. If they can't, then couldn't they just use a proxy.

I still maintain that the Board should never have taken a position on GE's offer. Declaring that shareholders should accept the offer could serve the purpose of discouraging other bidders. Other bidders need Arcam's employees to be happy and to want to stay on. If Arcam declares that it (read sr. Arcam management) prefers to be bought by GE, then wouldn't that have the affect of suppressing (at least a little bit) interest from other bidders?
