More than just about EVIO labs! This piece is nearly 70% SGBY!

We own Oregon analytical too.. Glauser is quoted throughout. Here are my favorite highlights:

On regulation:

"The rules end the free-for-all era of marijuana testing in Oregon. Looking for proof their medical marijuana packed a potent punch, pot growers had been “lab shopping,” finding labs that gave them top potency scores, said Mark Pettinger, OLCC marijuana program spokesman.

“If they didn’t like the results they had at one lab, they would go to another lab,” he said.

Under the state rules that start Oct. 1, recreational pot growers must have a lab test a sample from every 10 pounds of a particular marijuana strain they grow in a harvest. State rules also require that pot producers have labs test samples of edibles and extracts.

For SGBY description:

"Oregon Analytical Services, Glauser’s lab, is owned by a company that has three labs in the state. Bend-based Evio Labs owns the Eugene lab as well as labs in Bend and Medford. The company plans to add a lab in Portland. So far, Envio Labs has 15 employees total at all three labs, Glauser said, with five employees in the Eugene lab." (Without naming SGBY)

And this gem:

"Costs of the lab tests vary by company. The potency test alone costs about $80, Glauser said, and the full slate of state-mandated tests may cost $200 to $400 per sample."

Now let's look at that, 200$-400$ per sample. Above in the state mandates, it is a requirement that a sample of each strain of the plant (a sample from every 10lbs bag), any manufactured edibles created from the plant, and any chemical extracts from the plant get tested. I don't know how many people here toke, or have been into a dispensary, but THERE ARE A FLUCKING LOT OF DIFFERENT MARIJUANA STRAINS. 100s Maybe even thousands by the time it's fully legal to grow. There are just as many if not more edible products, vape oils, extracts, and what have you!

Let's calm down and stay conservative for a sec though. Let's take 500 strains, only grown to yield 10lbs so we only do 1sample from each strain.

500 samples x 300$ Test (ave. between what Glauser estimated)
=150,000.

Now, the reality here is that each ten pounds of crop, which could have been harvested in the hundreds, even thousands depending on growers and state, gets tested. Just by shifting the math above to reflect 500 strains each bringing 100lbs to the lab we see a factor of ten

5000 samples (each strain brought gets ten tests) x 300$ per sample = 1.5 mil.

These numbers don't even come close to revealing revenue potential. This math only reflects how the plant is tested. edibles and extracts get tested too!!!

Bashers: Tell me again how "there is no money" in testing???

SGBY has five labs, the move into northern Cali foreshadowing further expansion.with only six labs most likely getting accreditation by the 1st (Also in article above) SGBY's dominance in Oregon will be hard to beat. Waldrop's estimate per client, in my opinion, is extremely conservative. Revenue streams will continue to grow. As will our accounts!

Here's to future growth!
