So much crap in one post, and posted with such authority - holding long and short positions - or shorting against the box is somebody who wears both a belt and suspenders but has no trousers.

I don't have the time or energy right now so lets just say you're a "trader", I'm an investor who has never owned a stock he didn't love.

It makes sense to hold both short and long positions here.

Really??? there's a difference between shorting 20K shares against a 60K share long position,... and simply owning 40K shares long???

Must be that new math that I'm not up on.
