The other half of the Lilly Sepsis puzzle laid with Xoma's rBPI21 and was never "married" into a collab despite the
acknowledgement by both in papers that as a combo, it would be a potent force against gram negative sepsis...look up some old Xoma articles and see where the rBPI21 would have complimented Xigris, (ProteinC) but was never brought together:

Neuprex would have and should have worked in the proper hands running the trials...xoma was not the proper hands for this compound to be in imo. Do some DD and come back with thoughts please......
