Don't forget a LOT of people got burned by this stock before. It has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. Investor confidence is low right now.
Think of it this way, those who don't buy stocks online, most probably DON'T EVEN KNOW about the restriction, hence that's not gonna affect their buying/selling decision. And chances are, people who don't buy online generally don't read message boards either.
Think about it, someone who's savvy enough to trade online, wants to assimilate as much information as possible from all sources, including message boards. But a "regular"investor goes by word of mouth or offline analysis as such. Do you really think the brokerages are going to "advertise" this restriction to them??
