I've looked at buys that really did occur around the very low points of some famous turnarounds. Rather than hold for 10X to 100X wins, those traders usually sold in two or three days for perhaps a 10% profit.

I've been buying stocks since I was age 19, a looong time ago. I know poop from Shinola!

BTW, I don't hate GAIN. I just think BDCs should be a tiny portion of a portfolio. Few investors understand them.
