11:27 ET - Microsoft(MSFT) has agreed to acquire Genee, a "smart" scheduling tool which uses artificial intelligence to recognize key phrases in emails and automatically set up meetings. Terms weren't disclosed. Rajesh Jha, VP of the Outlook and Office 365 business, says in a blog post that the acquisition will help "further our ambition to bring intelligence into every digital experience" as MSFT builds new Office 365 productivity capabilities and services. Among other applications, Genee could be used to enhance Cortana. Co-founders Ben Chueng and Charles Lee are both are expected to join MSFT. (angus.loten@wsj.com)
