well i think the simplest thing would be to call the company and see what they have to say about that. i cant do it so maybe someone else wants to call.

We are working on the size reduction of virtually all components including the mass spec. We expect to have future versions of the beta completed at a quicker pace, now that we have are first beta. We want to begin our field testing as soon as possible and will update on this.

the content is a little bit disappointing. what i think is interesting is that they talk of betas. the way i understand that is that the beta 2.0 wont be handheld and they will start trial testing with a larger version because they are actually talking of betas to come. how large the one for trial testing will be is the question here.
