Where were Repub leaders when Trump pulled his birther crap to embarrass and delegitimize Pres Obama? - their silence was deafening!...Where were Repub leaders when Trump announced for president and said he'd build a wall to keep Mexican rapist/murders out?...Where were Repub leaders and no-backbone-McCain when Trump put McCain down for being held prisoner in Vietnam? Repub leaders had plenty of chances to stop Trump, but they chose to remain silent.
Trump's continual boorish behavior and the incredibly ignorant people who attend his rallies cannot be a surprise to the Repub party - the Repubs fed the monster by not standing up to him the day he pulled his birther crap and made hateful comments about Mexicans. Now the Repub party is living with the consequences and frankly, it couldn't happen to a more deserving group of non-leaders!
