Intriguing tidbit from RVNC 2Q16 PR/CC (#msg-124322727):

As to a second therapeutic indication for RT002, we plan to initiate a new U.S. Phase II trial later this year.

We'll be providing more detail on this exciting, novel indication along with the study design as soon as we initiate patient dosing.

The word, therapeutic in the above excerpt means non-cosmetic—i.e., cervical dystonia is the first therapeutic indication for RT002, and glabellar lines is a cosmetic (not therapeutic) indication.

On the 2Q16 CC, CEO Dan Browne said the mystery indication is something for which no botulinum toxin is currently approved. I’ll hazard a guess about what this new indication is after I’ve had some time to think it over.
