Not expecting too much from EVOL, but a pleasant surprise would be welcome. Yes they're going to save $3.5M/year in operating expenses, but sure they started to see some of that in Q4 and Q1. At least Q2 will be the first quarter in awhile with no charges. So profitability metrics should be strong. Just no idea what to expect from revenues. Could be $5M. Could be $6.5M. We know the switch to the SaaS model will have a dampening effect on revenues this year. And they didn't announce many real orders in Q2. Not to mention they hired a VP of sales at the end of the quarter. I think all of this suggests Q2 revenues will be on the light side, but hope to be wrong.
Some volume today on EVOL. But as usual, seems to be plenty of sellers to meet the buyers. I don't understand who's selling with the stock down from the $9's to the $5's, 32 consecutive profitable quarters and a huge 8%+ dividend yield. But maybe we'll find out tomorrow that the sellers knew something we didn't. Even if Q2 numbers are kinda meh, I think the outlook should be very bullish. So maybe that will give the stock a lift. I've got plenty of shares so not buying more before the report. Would rather add shares on the way up after some good news.
