Objectivity is an asset. As the saying goes, "a rising tide lifts all boats." Hopefully, that means we will all eventually make a large profit off QTMM. However, if we sold X% of our holdings in December (Maybe interpreting the hiring of Vista Partners as a sign that QMC was not close?) and shifted those funds into a QD diversification strategy, we would definitely be enjoying significant gains today.
