You cannot compare the trading of the two stocks, imo. PEIX's earnings were greatly improved over last's year's quarter. Ethanol stocks have been in a big slump for maybe 2 years.

By the way, I still think PEIX would make a nice takeover target for Valero. But I wouldn't want them to buy it out anywhere near the current level. My average cost per share is around $6.41!
