The US isn't going to mess with Cuba because they don't have any oil. To be an enemy of the US you must have oil or friends with oil. (Come to think of it, to be friends it's the same.)

PS - On second thought, after reviewing recent reports regarding oil in the Straits of Florida, Cuba gonna' git it from both barrels soon.
