People tweet to him everything they come across. So someone messaged him to let him know what people are saying. And whether anything comes of it or not, this is how lawsuits happen. If mcafee wants to pursue it for libel and stock manipulation then great, I'm glad.
And if you are so sure of the laws and regulations then please start filing complaints to the SEC. Tens of millions of volume comes in, everyone's eyes are all on this, everybody has heard of it, everybody knows John mcafee is vocal and engaged over Twitter. So if you think this is illegal and he's getting away with it then go take action and file a complaint. But the world right now is telling you that you are wrong otherwise he would have been charged and stopped long time ago. And yes I'm glad that the ceo of the company I'm invested in is aware of his stock price and the external forces working against it.
Now if you want to pick a real issue to discuss, then that would be the proxy delay. It's unfortunate that mgt failed to deliver on their deadline. Disappointing but not a deal breaker for me, I read their statement and I understand that there's a lot of paperwork to get through and they got a bit too eager with the deadline. I'm sure now they learned a lesson and will be more careful when putting out deadlines.
