Rumour went viral that McAfee was arrested and MGT raided -- FALSE rumours, addressed by John here:

Also a lot of people were expecting the proxy to come out today, which it so far has not, so that added to the panic selling.

As of now the final update about the proxy came less than an hour ago, stating:

MGT's proxy has not yet been filed nor rejected by the SEC. We are preparing a statement to update all shareholders as soon as possible.

For the record, like all public companies MGT's filings would instantly hit EDGAR, the SEC service for electronic submissions.

All shareholders can expect an update today regarding the timing of the proxy release. There has been no change to any deal terms.

The wording leads me to believe that the proxy will not be filed today, will wait and see what the statement has to say, and hopefully good reason for why it's delayed.
