Xena: The terms Democratic Win with Bernie at the Helm and sane government are oxymoronic. I agree that Hillary is not to be trusted. That is an understatement. Easily the most corrupt individual to ever seek a high office in America. She is a war-monger, a consummate liar, a money hungry, evil bitch that would sell her soul or her country to enrich herself and her crime family.
Bernie and his supporters are naive at best. Socialism does not work and has never worked in all the countries that have adopted it. Socialist countries eventually have to become prisons to keep their suffering people from fleeing. Capitalist countries, for all their faults, have the opposite problem...too many people fleeing there for economic freedoms. Even if Sanders were to get elected he would never be able to get huge tax increases passed. The productive people would simply "go Galt" and quit producing. A current lack of government spending is certainly not our problem. Our problem in America is a gargantuan, overbearing and way too expensive national government sucking the life blood from our economy. We have twice the government we need and it costs twice what we can afford without having a negative impact on our GDP. Sanders, not Trump, would be the disaster.
Trump on the other hand is crude, blustery, speaks without thinking through his verbiage, and can be immature in response to criticism. But he knows more about the private sector economy than the entire Democratic Party in Congress COMBINED. He is not my preferred messenger, but I wholeheartedly agree with many of his proposals. I am of the strong opinion that within a nation the culture, language and borders define that nation. We have allowed far too many immigrants and refugees into this country over the last 30 years and there has been no plan for assimilation into our culture. We are becoming a balkanized nation and that is not a recipe for long term success. I'd love to see a 20 year moratorium (at least) on all immigration. And when immigration resumes I would impose an English speaking requirement and economic sponsorship. We can't allow immigrants to arrive on Monday and go onto the welfare rolls on Tuesday. When my grandparents arrived here from Galicia in 1912 they had to have sponsors. If they were unable to find work their sponsor was responsible for feeding them and housing them. Uncle Sam let them in but didn't subsidize them after their arrival like we do now.
So whether we build a wall or re-deploy half of our overseas troops to the southern border I would seal that border completely. And I would start rounding up known dangerous gangs like MS 13 and deport them back to their native countries. They would not be hard to find all covered in tattoos like they are.
I also agree with Trump's views on dissolving NATO. It has been the neo-Con globalist faction, like Hillary, that are the danger to world peace. Russia has a similar GDP to the New York City metro area. Russia is not a threat to Europe, America or anyone else. Our corrupt nation has been trying to bait them into a conflict for a decade or more. Trump and Putin could coexist peacefully at a great saving in military expenditure. Russian and America could combine intelligence and military assets to combat the real enemy which is worldwide fundamentalist Islam.
We need to stop doing the Saudi's bidding in trying to overthrow Assad. Hillary's "Arab Spring" strategy has been a failure in every country that we tried to impose upon. Libya was stable under Quadaffi. Look at it now. Syria was stable. We formented the uprising in Syria and the result has been hundreds of thousands dead, millions of refugees on the March, etc. And to what end? So that Saudi Arabia, Quatar and the Emirates can have a pipeline thru Syrian territory to export natural gas to Western Europe to compete with Russia. Trump is light years smarter than the ass hats that currently run our foreign policy in the Middle East. We need to rid Foggy Bottom and our military complex from the neo-cons that want to impose American hegemony everywhere. We can't run our own shit right within our own borders. Let's keep our noses out of other countries affairs.
The final policy Trump supports that I wholeheartedly agree with is the reduction or complete elimination of the Corporate Income Tax. That tax provides only about 11% of our Federal Budget. Billions of Dollars are spent in legal fees and lobbyists by individual companies to limit those taxes. The disparity in corporate tax rates across the globe lead to American companies opening foreign subsidiaries in order to limit their tax liability. Eliminate the corporate income tax and many companies would re-patriate their operations back to the United States and would create jobs in this country which we so desperately need. The taxes lost to the elimination of the corporate income tax would be made up by the individual taxes of all the people who got jobs once companies came back to our shores. Revenue would also come back from taxing the dividends on the additional profits companies could generate when they no longer have to employ a cadre of lawyers and accountants to dodge the current excessive taxes. I would bet Dollars to donuts that 5 years after eliminating the corporate income tax that actual amount of revenue generated for the Treasury would be much higher than it is today. We'd have far fewer unemployed and under employed people, lessening the tax burden they impose on the rest of us. The clueless Democrats would never go along with this but it make logical economic sense.
So as between the most corrupt politician in American History and Donald Trump I will be voting for Trump. He has more good ideas than Hillary and the whole libtard Democrat Party combined, whose tax, borrow, print and spend philosophy has bankrupted us. And they have allowed us to be overrun by millions of uneducated, non English speaking unemployable third worlders, many with ties to Islamic jihad, criminal narco gangs and with long ago eradicated serious communicable diseases like multi drug resistant Tuberculosis.
So if Bernie and his supporters are, as you say, our only hope...then God help us and give me the wisdom and insight to determine where else on this planet to move to.
