north40K, I think Merck doesn't have to prove that and that it is pure logic.

Of on a sample group of 100 patients you can find 20 to treat with a higher success probability then the other 80 and you only treat those 20 in stead of all 100 then i think it follows from that that you success rate per treated patients is going up by definition.

Same as for Opdivo's companion test; It also singles out patients with a wanted PD profile which are the better responders.

What Merck will have to prove is whether they have that ability but if they have there is no question as to their claim.
