Were threats and alterations really made where the courts and law enforcement community would frown upon such activity?

As a great example, Bill Ackman of Pershing Square Capital publicly accused Herbalife of operating a "sophisticated pyramid scheme" after he took a US$1 Billion short position. There was news about both an SEC and Federal Trade Commission Investigation yet NOTHING ever came of it.

With thousands of OTC companies, personally speaking I dont think those people will care or look at all this.
