As CP indicated previously, iMO pphm has finally said Uncle to BP and are indicating they will no longer threaten BP with a combo of bavi and chemo (possibly generic) to the detriment of the BPs I-O drugs.

In fact, pphm will only run phI trials to help BP determine what bavi works best with (and to keep BP honest in the development of bavi) until they find the right combos. At that point any BP can take bavi into a partnership and share in the revenue. There is no threat of an end run by pphm around BP and BP already knows thei I-O drugs need to be in a combo and they will have to share the revenue with somebody.

For their effort, should bavi pan out, pphm will get a piece of the partnership worldwide and manufacturing rights. If in a few years (when pphm revenue from Avid makes them profitable and their pps is higher) they feel BP has not negotiated or played fairly, pphm will be in better financial position to extend trials to later phases be it with bavi or BBs or other that they have been doing phIs on.

This is a much more sound plan and one that maybe should have been sought earlier. However, their manufacturing was in the same position and they underestimated the power and corruptness BP and the FDA.

Has the back room deal for BP and bavi been cut guaranteeing BP I-O drugs are not undercut like they could have been 4 yrs ago with an approved 12+ mo OS prior to any I-O approval and could have been if bavi+chemo surpassed current SOC. Too much big money so now under new set up bavi only moves forward if it helps BP
