the basic point was that the official system was an outmoded wreck of a setup that basically worked poorly to the extent it worked at all -- many in the upper levels of State, not only before but continuing during her tenure, used private email accounts at least to some extent just to be able to get their work done efficiently/effectively -- the private server, well not the brightest move, as she's acknowledged -- but all that different from or less secure than an email account residing on the servers of some third-party internet provider, especially back in that time frame (3-1/2 let alone 7-1/2 years ago a relative eternity ago given how quickly that whole side of things and issues on that side of things have been evolving since)?
