Won't more crop production mostly mean lower prices? The agri commodities I follow have all plummeted in recent years.

Bayer is German, right? Have you ever bought a foreign stock (or fund). I've never trusted the accounting of most foreign stocks... and certainly not the Chinese ones. Germany, I'm sure, is fine. Who knows, but I may end up owning a ton of Bayer if they buy Monsanto for stock.
