ihub Moderator Influence

There is without question a not so subtle trend by the moderator to "bash" or ridicule stocks that he does not own.

Yes, there are threads of what certainly appear to be self-righteousness and more-knowleadgeable-than-thou-ness on this board from more posters than the moderator, BUT consider that (a) one of the stated purposes of Biotech Values is a constant vigilance for scams and misrepresentations - both potentially harmful to your investment dollars, and (b) constant pressure on posters to back up what they say with a reasoned argument.

There's already plenty of sel-righteous over-exhuberant opinions out there to make you feel better about whatever you own, but you also need the kind of criticism and suspicion expressed here if you want to feel you've taken all the risks into consideration. Consider IMCL a few years back after the RTF; I invested heavily around $10/share based as much on what one of the most reviled (yet knowledgeable) "bashers" on the YMB had to say as much as any IMCL cheerleaders, because I felt his reasoning only had bad implications for the short-term price. (no, I'm not going to talk about how much I should have sold at the peak...)

So, basically, maybe there are a bunch of critical smart-a$$es posting here. Just ignore the attitude and harvest the info for your purposes. And post, of course, but expect to be called on your assertions frequently - that's where the much of the value in Biotech Values is, IMO.
