your comments are well received but let me say something about your analogy of the Selandia/Titanic and SMME.

You made a point the building and launching of the Selandia in Denmark made the voyage of the Titanic obsolete or even the Titanic itself.

Well you might rethink that supposition. Was not the Titanic fully booked. It was. Was it not fully booked for many voyages after its maiden voyage. It was.

My point is that both liners saw a market, there was obviously plenty of market for both to operate. The fact that one liner had diesel engines did not make any traveller pick one boat or the other.

There are many different types of cards out there at the moment. All arguing they have the better technology, however it seems they all seem to be flourishing or at least a lot are.

Selandia v titanic - with or without diesel engines both had plenty of customers.
