The Top Ten Myths in FBI History

.. in here there is a tidbit which clearly says much toward answering my curiosity around this ..

"DrHarleyboy, like i said IF EVERY FBI inquiry (repeat inquiry is a synonym for
investigation) then and only then could you say the FBI's inquiry is a criminal one
"

For the past century, the FBI has been a vital player in American history, front and center in some of our country’s most high-profile national security and criminal issues. Not surprisingly, some myths and misunderstandings about the Bureau have evolved over that time, in part because of the complex and sometimes sensitive nature of our work. We’ve picked out what we think are the top ten myths down through the years, leaving aside ones that are so fanciful that they don’t deserve mention here…

In descending order, here they are: https://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2008/july/myths_072408

so, as "national security" there is made distinct from "and criminal issues[" as far as i can see Hillary's description of the FBI email investigation as a "security inquiry" is, as i've
always felt more likely than not, perfectly legit. Despite all we've seen which claim otherwise. Yup, in that i may be wrong, but i haven't seen clear evidence yet to the contrary.

It feels good to have that curiosity settled comfortably in a case closed file .. LOL

It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
