"No fundamental explanations" Exactly!!! The way gold stocks -> the GDX -> and the 3x gold ETF are behaving makes no sense.
Gotta love how every piece of data is dissected by the new outlets and others creating big swings. It's self fulfilling at its best.
Everyone is talking about the gold trade - a very bad sign as always. This trade is jammed with gamblers hoping to ride a wave of speculation. Too bad we're close to the beach now.
We'll see more pain but the inverse eft are getting into screaming buy range.
