no career... Still in that mode of thinking. I have a job... so far... more cuts on Thursday... the purge begins and will probably continue through Christmas.
Fall mountains. Don't fall on me.
Sigh.
Not surprised that you got to witness a first class hissy fit... we had an actress who was playing an insane chick. One night at half hour she decided her wig did not fit properly and had a major tantrum throwing it on the floor and refusing to go on. We were calling in the heads of the artistic staff and production staff. They managed to pacify the big baby and get the show up albeit about 1/2 an hour late. Guess her character wasn't much of a stretch for her.
I rarely talk about my life in the city out here. People don't understand that it was just the way things are in Manhattan. They get defensive about their mundane existences. I play up my homeowner chores and let them give me advice... half of which I ignore but it makes for neutral conversation... or else I ooo and ahhh about the great jobs they are doing with their offspring... yawn but it makes them feel good... besides which they are good people and the kids I've met have been pleasant to deal with so God bless all of them. Better them than me. <ggg>
Barbra (spelling) Streisand: I was never into her music... can't stand her look either... when she got political that sealed the deal for me. Oh well. There's something out there for everyone I guess.
