Shears... I agree fully that SRDX has the technology to load Lucentis onto a device (be it the I-vation platform or a subretinal implant) in such a way as to have controlled release for a long time within the therapeutic range....

The issue I raised (and have probably discussed more than it deserves) is that VEGF might bind to the Lucentis on the device before the Lucentis is released... if so, the Lucentis implant would become ineffective because the Lucentis-VEGF complex that would be released would not be free to bind more VEGF.

My concern can be easily resolved by data.. I want to see that data before I start getting excited about a longterm Lucentis implant replacing monthly injections.

But as I mentioned, I would like to see a clinical trial to test if I-vation-TA + Lucentis would reduce the need for the frequent Lucentis injections...
