Good point. If I sold on 2-26 and the settlement date is 3-2, would I need to wait till 4-1 to buy any shares back in order to claim the tax loss? Also, if I recall correctly - you can only claim a certain amount as a loss and then you need to spread the loss over a few years? It's been a long time since I took a huge stock loss.
