Yes, they are not selling giant prawns. LOL.

They are using 13 week cycles now. And the last stage is 2 weeks. I think they are using the big tanks for final grow out and special feed. Perhaps a special design even. So they can gain quite a lot during the final stage. But I don't think they can grow them bigger than say 40/kg.

Stage 1 = 5/6 weeks
Stage 4 = 2 weeks

That leaves 3 weeks for the other stages.

The reason why they are doing this is to maximize efficiency. You are WASTING SPACE in the early weeks if you keep them in the same tank for 13 weeks. Because you can't stock 2 million of them. But far less.

Either way, we started this discussion by saying the 600,000 is simply a trial run. It is. It says so in the press release.
