Executive orders:, one of Trump's throwaway lies in the debate today was that he said during Reagan's time, when he worked with Tip ONeil, you never "hardly heard" of executive orders .. trouble is, at least through Oct. 20 2014 Reagan used more executive orders per year than Obama did ..
and am guessing Obama still sits at the bottom of that heap .. so much for Cruz and Trump's clarion call of Obama abusing executive power.
UPDATE:
Here is the number of Executive Orders issued by presidents from Richard Nixon to Obama. The first figure shows the total number of orders issued, the second figure is the average per year:
* Richard Nixon - 346 or 62 per year * Gerald Ford – 169 or 69 per year * Jimmy Carter – 320 or 80 per year * Ronald Reagan – 381 or 48 per year * George H.W. Bush – 166 or 42 per year * Bill Clinton - 364 or 46 per year * George W. Bush – 291 or 36 per year * Barack Obama (through Dec. 31, 2015) – 227 or 33 per year http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/01/what_is_an_executive_order_and.html
It's gonna be interesting to see how many throwaway lies there were in the GOP debate today .. my guess Trump was the champ on that .. lol.
It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
