I think that it is important to consider that, they have a detection system that can detect THC in breath with 100 percent accuracy, however, this device currently is the size of a large computer (or perhaps slightly bigger). This is not what police want (no BatMobile on their mind, though that sounds awesome). Police forces want something for easy road-side use, and a hand-held is on the top of the list.
I think Cannabix could have been selling huge devices by now, but they have spent their time by trying to build the handheld. This is in part due to the fact that (a) the police want the handheld, like I just mentioned (b) their ARE competitors who are legitimate, and likely many more of them that have yet to publicize their work (i.e. many European agencies working on this also, out of the spotlight).
To summarize. We have working technology, and we have the BEST working technology. I know that is scientifically true. At least for now. We need miniaturization, with retention of the accuracy. At tough feat, which we are AMAZINGLY close to achieving.
Fact of the matter is... these guys would have turned back by now if they lost faith. They are full steam ahead. Kal JUST said he is expecting a product in 18-24 months to be ON THE ROAD. That means we should expect beta in the next year. That means they will likely acquire the patent rights in July. If that happens, we are all going to be very rich.
To answer ILuBlo's question: They will acquire the patent rights to the Yost technology... that is only for FAIMS, that is not for a beta device which incorporates the concepts from the Alpha protoype and the FAIMS. We basically would be combining the already existing Alpha prototype patent, and the FAIMS patent, in a new patent. At which point shares are released. That will be the new "Beta". We are hoping that is closer than we think. And my conversation with management suggested that, with an accuracy level in the 90's, that is the case.
