But it depends if it is non provisional or not application. For a non provisional application it requires less time to be granted or not. So, we should know the results for some non provisional applications in 2016 and maybe sooner we think.
A provisional application can NEVER be granted. It is not a patent application, but rather a placeholder for one.
A utility patent (or as you call it, a non-provisional) is currently averaging 26 months at the USPTO. EPGL's earliest patent app filing was 2/13/14. 26 months from then is 4/13/16. But remember, not all application become patents...
