Jesus Christ Killianspi! It's written throughout the whole bible, lack of faith is the dilemma. Take a look at your life when you slipped into painful situations that may have morphed into suffering: you were being rocked from lack of faith. If you had faith in Gods supreme plan for you, it would not be suffering would it. It would be your perception of the events that didn't coincide with your idea of how your life was supposed to be. Acceptance that God has/had a much higher idea for you, you just have to find out what it is so it will eliminate your perception of your suffering.
