Europe's contribution to Wave's progress
Progress in Europe seems a little slow recently. The decision not to invest in Finread must have been a big blow to the European team after their efforts. But Wave's status as the authentication Rome in Dell's PCs must give them a few opportunities to revive relationships in the smart card space. And the world's leadership in mobile telephony is in Europe.
So ... it's over a year since we heard of any progress with Giesecke & Devrient or Cartes Bancaires. Isn't it about time we heard some faint stirrings?
Mobile phones: Sony Ericcson, Nokia, France Telecom, Vodafone, ARM, to name just a few leading players.
Smart Cards: SCM, Gemplus, Oberthur, VISA International etc.
Practically all I've seen is a bunch of small regional integrators for the last few years. Is that all there is?
What's going on, Bruno?
