One of the concerns in labeling is the effect the binding will have on the bodies biology (it's functioning). In other words if you link a label molecule to a membrane molecule (simplified statement) then what will happen? Will the membrane molecule still perform its role or is the linkage responsible to disable it or change its behaviour.
