Samsungs not gaining any groups on Apple. Apple owns and will forever own the high end market on smartphones. There not to date a single Android phone that's been able to compete with the entire package that iPhone gives. Samsung was close this year but not quite there. That's just on a functional level. On a trendy level no one from Android is even in the ballpark. Apple will dominate the emerging markets from a status symbol alone. We don't need to wait to see the numbers we can see it already. Apples marketshare in the high end continues to grow while everyone else shrinks.
